Reciprocal Clubs

Expand Your Membership

As a member of Sangamo Club, you are invited to use a network of select private clubs across the United States and in other countries.  Most are "city clubs," meaning they are dining, business and social clubs, much like our own Sangamo Club.  We have relationships with some country and yacht clubs, which provide the services of a city club as well.  Some clubs offer health and athletic facilities, guest rooms, expanded libraries, and art collections.

New clubs are added sometimes at the suggestion of members who have been guests at the respective club.  Please bring the name of desirable clubs to the attention of the Director of Member Services.

When planning to use a reciprocal club, secure whatever reservations you would like (be it dining, guest rooms, etc.) with the visiting club then contact the staff at Sangamo Club to have a letter of introduction submitted on your behalf.  This letter introduces you as a member in good standing and asks that the rights of the agreement be extended to you during your visit.  These letters are valid for 30 days and are sent to the club directly, but a copy may be provided upon request. Pending the various policies of each club, they may simply call Sangamo Club to confirm your membership if you are unable to request a letter of introduction prior to your visit.

The majority of reciprocal clubs ask that all charges are settled with a major credit card at the time services are rendered.

Perhaps you have an associate or friend who travels frequently?  Please consider sponsoring him or her for Sangamo Club membership so they can enjoy the convenience of staying at any of the reciprocal clubs throughout the world.  Membership information is available by contacting the Director of Member Services.
